The Annual Menar Golf Day is a Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiative that brings together mining professionals and companies from across South Africa, with a shared purpose to positively impact communities. Proceeds raised through the golf day go towards supporting schools and non-profit organisations in areas where Menar operates.  

The event was inspired by a similar event previously hosted by Menar’s KwaZulu subsidiary, Zululand Anthracite Colliery. With a successful six-year run, ZAC’s Golf Day supported local schools with water infrastructure, educational implements such as laptops, and renovations. The Menar Golf Day is a continuation of this legacy, meant to extend the reach of its impact on communities by involving all subsidiaries under the group.
